Mentorship

Digital Women Leaders: As a graduate of Poynter’s Leadership Academy for Women in Media, I was invited to join Digital Women Leaders, a free mentoring website for women and female-identified people working in news who are looking for advice across a wide range of topics. Mentors offer 30 minutes of their time each week to share their experience and advice. Book a coaching session with me here.

Northwestern’s Council of 100 : I was nominated and invited to join Northwestern’s Council of 100, an invite-only, volunteer-driven organization of NU women connecting, learning and supporting the university, one another, and NU women professionally and personally through mentoring, networking, programming and scholarship funding. Membership selection is based on career trajectory and achievements and commitment to mentoring/service.

One of 11 Associate Members out of a total member base of 163*. The maximum number of Associate Members (age 35 and under) on the Council is 30. I will serve as the Communications Co-Chair on the C100 Executive Committee beginning Sept. ’21.

*As of April 2021

Northwestern ALL Program: I’m a volunteer mentor for the the Affinity Leaders and Learners (ALL) Mentorship Program. ALL is the newest addition to the Northwestern Network. The ALL Program is an identity-based mentorship program that connects undergraduate students to alumni leaders. The ALL Program strives to create a more tailored experience for students seeking identity-based mentorship.

Northwestern NEXT: I’m a volunteer alumni host for the Northwestern Externship Program (NEXT). NEXT is a shadowing program offering current Northwestern students the opportunity to accompany alumni on the job to learn more about a variety of professional fields.

Students will spend time learning from their alumni hosts to gain insight into the practical aspects of potential careers.
